CIT's Financial Analyst Program

The scope of CIT’s business, the size of the deals we negotiate, and most important, the chance our analysts have see a deal from every angle and contribute at every phase…all these factors combined make CIT’s Analyst Program unique in the industry. Three key words define this leading-edge program: networking, flexibility, and opportunity.

It begins with a comprehensive, six-week course at our global headquarters in New York City. Under the guidance of CIT senior leaders, you develop essential skills for financial analysis — including analytical, communications, marketing, and sales skills — and learn how to create detailed financial models, prepare valuation analyses, compile industry and client company data, assist with due diligence, and develop high impact presentation materials.

The training covers a full range of financial topics:

  • Financial Accounting
  • Corporate Finance
  • Credit & Risk Analysis
  • Financial Modeling / Advanced Excel
  • Cap IQ
  • Bloomberg
  • Team Case Study & Presentation
  • Business Unit Overview Presentations

You’re also assigned an experienced analyst to serve as a mentor and help you succeed.

CIT analysts say that the camaraderie that begins during training creates career-long bonds that carry over into their everyday work. Fellow analysts become your built-in support network, colleagues you can share experiences with and rely on for advice and answers to tough questions.

When the training ends, you’ll be placed directly into your business unit and begin right away to work closely with the business’ leaders.
