Chris Jackson
Chris Jackson is Managing Director of CIT Leveraged Finance Europe, a unit of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE:CIT), a leading global commercial and consumer finance company.
Since joining CIT, Jackson has personally executed over $500mm of mid-market lead-arranged leveraged financings including: the P2P of SHL (a psychometric testing business) and recapitalization of Rolfe & Nolan (both for HgCapital); an expansion financing for IXEurope (Milestone and Argan); and a secondary buyout of Betts Group (Gresham).
Jackson joined CIT’s Leveraged Finance team in March 2006, initially specialising in communications, media and entertainment and now leads the middle market private equity sponsor origination group.
Prior to CIT, he worked for Citigroup in London and Hong Kong (1998-2005) covering structured finance in the emerging markets. Before this he worked at National Westminster Bank (1987-1995) and Samuel Montagu/HSBC Investment Bank (1995-1998) in London covering mid-cap clients in the UK and CME names in Western Europe respectively.
Jackson’s CME structured finance experience includes the origination and successful execution of over 30 mandated lead arranger roles with a value in excess of US $15 billion in African, Asian, European and Middle Eastern markets. Borrowers include data network, media, satellite-TV, wireless and wireline groups. These mandates were for the provision of senior and junior bank and bond finance.
He has acted as an advisor on over 25 deals for a broad range of operators, strategic investors, financial sponsors, manufacturers, export credit agencies and developmental financial institutions in start-up, mature and restructuring situations.
