After completing his training as a banker, Weise gained experience in international business at leading foreign banks in Germany. In 1991 he transferred to the credit business where he provided import, export, and trade finance services to mid-sized companies. In 1999 he joined the sales department of a well-known German factoring company. He was subsequently promoted to executive director with responsibilities for human resources and profitability across North and East Germany.

Weise joined Enterprise Finance Europe GmbH as a regional manager responsible for Northern and Northeastern Germany. CIT acquired the company in April 2006. Shortly thereafter, Weise assumed responsibility of Sales Manager for all of Germany.
