Managing Director, CIT Corporate Finance Australasia CIT Group Inc.

Phil McCabe is a Managing Director of CIT Corporate Finance Australasia, a unit of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE:CIT), a leading global commercial and consumer finance company.

He is responsible for setting up and providing Private Equity clients with CIT’s full range of product capabilities, including financing and banking related products in the Australasian and Pan-Asian marketplace.

He previously headed up the Leveraged Finance Underwriting and Execution team for CIT Leveraged Finance Europe where he managed key relationships with investment banks, hedge funds and private equity sponsors.

Prior to joining CIT in 2005, McCabe was involved in the start up of NIB Capital’s CLO fund programme. Before NIB Capital he worked in New Zealand for JP Morgan Chase in the corporate finance team as an M&A specialist. Previously he worked for the Bank of New Zealand in the investment management business.

McCabe graduated from the University of Auckland where he received a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics and also holds a Masters Degree in Economics.
