Tom Westdyk
Tom Westdyk is Managing Director of CIT Communications, Media & Entertainment, Communications. He is responsible for the leveraged finance origination and advisory efforts for all communications industry sectors, including cable television, wireline, wireless, communications towers and related service providers.
Areas of expertise:
From 1998 to 2003, he was the leader of the group’s syndications and structuring efforts, providing underwriting, senior debt sales and advisory services to various communications and media clients throughout North America for the group’s $1.5 billion portfolio. From 1994 to 1998, he was a member of Toronto Dominion’s Communications and Media Group and was involved in the analysis, structuring, negotiation, credit approval and documentation of transactions in the wireline, wireless, cable and broadcasting industries, which totaled commitments of over $3 billion. Westdyk also worked closely with the firm’s high yield, mergers & acquisitions and merchant banking teams to deliver products at all levels of the capital structure.
Before joining Toronto Dominion, Westdyk was with Westpac Banking Corporation for four years and First Fidelity Bank, where he completed their credit and management training program.
He holds a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and an MBA in International Finance from Fordham University.
