James (Jim) L. Hudak



Co-Head and President, CIT Corporate Finance

James (Jim) L. Hudak is Co-Head and President of Corporate Finance. He is responsible for co-leading the Corporate Finance franchise, which is dedicated to serving the specialized financing and advisory needs of small and middle market companies in the United States, Canada and Europe. He previously served as President of CIT Communications, Media & Entertainment. He has more than 20 years experience in corporate and leverage finance, with more than 15 years specifically in the industries that his group now serves.

  • Hudak started his career at Philadelphia National Bank, completing a formal bank training program and initially concentrating on commercial real estate projects. Hudak soon had roles at both Merrill Lynch and Citibank, where he worked in the Leveraged Finance division, leading many middle market transactions. In 1991, he joined AT&T Capital in its Capital Markets Division and focused on large project financings and leverage leases. He soon joined up with another partner and co-founded AT&T Capital’s Telecom Group, completing numerous early-stage communication transactions. The group eventually acquired a large media portfolio.

    He received a BS from Bucknell University and an MBA from Cornell University. He is a former officer in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.
