Co-Head and President, CIT Corporate Finance

Peter (Pete) Connolly is Co-Head and President of Corporate Finance. He is responsible for co-leading the Corporate Finance franchise, which is dedicated to serving the specialized financing and advisory needs of small and middle market companies in the United States, Canada and Europe. He previously served as Head of CIT’s Syndicated Loan Group.

Prior to CIT, he held a number of senior-level positions in Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Structured Finance during his 12 years with GE Capital. Most recently, he led GE Corporate Finance Services Distressed Debt business, overseeing a 20-member team as a Senior Managing Director. Before GE, Connolly held a management role in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen.Connolly holds the FINRA Series 24, 7 and 63 Licenses and is a Certified Public Accountant. He received a BS in Accounting from Fairfield University.
