W. Taylor Kamp serves as Managing Director and Head of CIT Corporate Development and M&A. He has more than 25 years of experience in diversified financial services. Previously he oversaw CIT’s post-bankruptcy “Fresh Start” Accounting project, as well as its Legal Entity Rationalization project.

  • Before his appointment to these positions, starting in November 2007, Kamp was interim head of CIT’s Home Lending business following CIT’s announced exit. In that role, he managed all aspects of the 350 employee business culminating in a sale of the assets and platform in February of 2009. He started his career at CIT in 2000 as Senior Vice President of the Corporate Development Group, where he managed strategic planning and many key M&A transactions resulting in the successful purchase or sale of more than $20 billion in assets.

    Before joining CIT, Kamp held several senior executive positions at The Associates (now Citigroup/CitiCapital), including CFO and Head of Business Development for their International Commercial Operations, and CFO of their $12 billion Transportation Finance and $13.5 billion Home Equity businesses. Prior to joining The Associates in 1987, Kamp held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Kamp holds a BBA in Management from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. He is an Elder at the Hilltop Presbyterian Church of Mendham, NJ, where he is also President of Trustees and Co-chair of the Finance Committee.
