CIT Bank Helps Make Shopping on the Internet Easy,

Quick and Secure with “Bill Me Later”
Bill Me Later, a program issued by CIT Bank and managed by I4Commerce, Inc., allows retailers to offer instant credit to consumers. It is a convenient and secure payment method providing consumers the flexibility to make purchases without using a credit card. In addition, it offers “zero fraud liability” protection, which means consumers are not responsible for unauthorized charges. The "bill me later" feature works much like a credit card. After consumers enter their billing address during the checkout process, shoppers click on the "bill me later" button. Instead of asking for a credit card number, the service asks consumers to enter their date of birth and the last four digits of their Social Security number. Bill Me Later does a quick credit review, processed behind the scenes. Once the customer qualifies, the transaction is completed and the merchandise shipped. The customer is then billed for the purchase at a later date.
More than 500 online retailers now offer Bill Me Later, and 2.5 million consumers have chosen that payment option. Online retailers include jetBlue Airways, Walmart, the Apple Store, Overstock.com, Hotels.com, Petco.com and Linens-n-Things.
