Khanh T. Tran


Tran joined the CIT board in July 2017 and also serves as a board member for CIT Bank, N.A. He is the president and CEO of Aviation Capital Group, a full-service aircraft leasing and asset management company that is 75.5 percent owned by Pacific Life Insurance Co. Tran has been with Pacific Life for 25 years, serving as its president, chief investment officer, chief financial officer and treasurer during his tenure.

Before joining Pacific Life in 1990, Tran held financial positions at The Vons Companies Inc., a supermarket retailer in Southern California, and The Flying Tiger Line Inc., then the world’s largest global airfreight company, which was acquired by Federal Express in 1988. He started his career at United California Bank in 1980.

Tran received his MBA in finance and marketing from the University of California Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science from Whittier College.
