After many years in business, trying something new can bring unexpected success. In the case of Crafco, offering financing was something the company chose to try to better serve their customers after nearly 40 years in business.

One of Crafco’s retail locations on the East Coast had been offering financing to customers through CIT Direct Capital. When interest in financing options started popping up across the country at other locations, Crafco looked to this retail entity for inspiration to offer greater choices for customers.

“After looking at some other vendors, CIT Direct Capital had some really great things they were offering, plus the service was good and we had a good experience,” said Brian Price, vice president of marketing for Crafco.

Crafco is a manufacturer of pavement preservation products for asphalt and concrete, and has been in business since 1976. “Working with Kyle and how he’s approached this has been a confidence builder, a trust builder,” Price said. “It’s been perfect. You like it that way - when it’s open, honest and clear.”

When asked what has been the best part of offering financing through CIT Direct Capital, Price was quick to name his relationship with Kyle. He’s been “right there when I need him,” Price says, which has made for a great partnership. Kyle and CIT Direct Capital also work well with Crafco’s other financing partner to get the job done while providing top-notch customer service.

Crafco is leveraging the newly available financing options in its marketing efforts, including everything from printed and electronic sales collateral to website integration, advertising, retail displays, and email campaigns. “And we have seen results,” Price remarked.

Price has also been impressed with the technology CIT Direct Capital provides for tracking financing applications and the reporting that is delivered to Crafco monthly.

“Data-wise CIT Direct Capital is really a well-oiled machine in terms of how the process goes and the data exchange on the website… Overall it’s very clear and easy,” said Price.

Price stated that it’s difficult to point to just a few noteworthy results of working with CIT Direct Capital, given that so many aspects of the partnership have been good.
