Leveraging Little Caesars Franchise Opportunities with Help from CIT

Why CIT? Here’s what one Little Caesars franchisee had to say

For decades, throngs of students have been lining up to grab a slice in the college cafeteria. And even back in the 80’s, when Young Herve Ouellette was rushing in from economics class, stepping behind the counter and serving up pizza, he knew it just felt right.

Ouellette’s passion for pizza started early and stuck. He’s now been linked to the pizza industry for nearly 40 years.

Becoming a Little Caesars franchise owner

When his days at the local college cafeteria ended, Ouellette joined Domino’s for several years before beginning his relationship with Little Caesars in 1994. From working in operations to serving as a regional marketing manager, he knows the brand inside and out. He and his wife opened their first store in Phoenix in 2006. Today they own 10 Little Caesars stores.

Financing the costs of a franchise

CIT’s relationship with Ouellette is close to a decade and still filled with impact. After first choosing CIT to finance an equipment purchase in 2012, Ouellette has returned time and time again. That first deal went “really well,” according to Ouellette, because CIT’s team was knowledgeable and easy to work with. It was the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship.

“The thing I like about the company more than anything is that they get our business, understand it. [CIT] understands our genuine needs and concerns that we have as franchisees and franchisors,” said Ouellette.

Together, Ouellette and CIT have completed eight financing deals. The deals have helped Ouellette tackle restaurant equipment upgrades, remodels and larger scale refinancing. In return, Ouellette has been a major advocate for CIT among Little Caesars franchisees. You can now find CIT representatives at Little Caesars’ conventions, all thanks to Ouellette.

A franchise financing partnership* that lasts

At the end of the day, Ouellette says what matters to him most is that his CIT franchise finance manager is genuine and doesn’t just tell him what he wants to hear. The franchise finance team at CIT cares about his business and has built a lasting relationship with him.

“Character and integrity are huge. That’s one of the reasons why I keep going back to you guys,” Ouellette said.

So what does the future look like for Ouellette, CIT and Little Caesars? A couple more stores may be on the horizon, and Ouellette says he’s got his CIT franchise finance manager on speed dial.
