    President, CIT Commercial & Industrial Finance

    Burt Feinberg is President of CIT Commercial & Industrial Finance including CIT Retail & Restaurant Finance, CIT Aerospace, Defense & Government Finance, and has oversight of the Maritime Finance business. He is also involved in cash-flow acquisition financing, serving the private equity market and capital markets activities. CIT Commercial & Industrial Finance is a leading provider of asset-based revolving credit facilities and cash-flow term financings to middle market companies.

    His areas of expertise include cash-flow/leveraged finance, asset-based financing, distressed and turnaround financing, the retail industry, the restaurant industry and equipment finance and leasing.

    Feinberg has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, retail finance, equipment finance/leasing and restaurant lending. He has been involved in several billion dollars' worth of financings in numerous industries. In addition to managing new business activities, he has also managed workouts and securitizations.

    Prior to CIT, Feinberg spent seven years with FINOVA Capital Corp., holding various management positions, most recently as business head of FINOVA's Commercial Equipment Finance and Restaurant/Franchise Lending Divisions. During his last two years at FINOVA, he worked directly for Leucadia National Corporation and Berkshire Hathaway (collectively "Berkadia"), FINOVA's managing investor responsible for a combined loan portfolio and business of $1.8 billion in assets. Prior to that, Feinberg had previously been with CIT for more than seven years in various capacities. He began his Corporate Finance career with Chemical Bank. 

    Feinberg holds a BA from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA in finance from the New York University Stern Graduate School of Business.
