Tony Diaz is President of
CIT Commercial Air and has been associated with CIT since 1987. He manages the activities of the Commercial Airlines Group, which owns and finances a fleet of approximately 350 commercial aircraft leased and financed to roughly 100 customers in 50 countries. In addition to the current fleet, CIT has a forward order book of aircraft with Airbus, Boeing and Embraer valued at about $10 billion. CIT Commercial Air operates from offices in New York, Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale, Seattle, Toulouse, Dublin and Singapore. He serves on the Board of Directors for several CIT Aerospace subsidiaries, including the CIT Aerospace headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
His areas of expertise include aircraft finance, operating leases, sale-leaseback and fleet management.Prior to joining CIT, Diaz began his career in aviation with Cessna Finance Corporation in 1981. Subsequently, he worked for People Express Airlines and Continental Airlines in a variety of operational and financial capacities. He serves on the Board of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT).
Diaz holds a bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an AS from the State University of New York at Farmingdale.
